  • 1000 gram flour (Hoa Ngọc Lan, Ha Long or Golden Buffalo)
  • 550 gram water
  • 20 gram sugar
  • 4 gram yeast
  • Syrup, the quantity depends on how sweet you want your product to be


  • A frying pan
  • Rolling machine – a hand baking roller can be used but it is less effective
  • A mixer
  • A scale
  • Dissolve sugar in water.
  • Add flour, yeast and the above solution in the bowl and mix at low speed for 7 minutes.
  • Rest the dough on the table for 2 hours.
  • Roll out the dough with rolling machine then cut it into thin long pieces.
  • Deep fry dough pieces in boiling cooking oil until the products get golden colour.
  • Let the product cool to room temperature then mix it with syrup for sweeter taste and longer crispiness.
